Our CEO and founder, Christian Seitz, enjoyed very much the business-lunch with Carmen at the Lotus hospitality, meeting team boss Federico Gastaldi and of course the tour around the Lotus garage: “Watching the on-track action at the Hungarian Grand Prix™ with Carmen’s behind-the scenes expert information was absolutely incredible! We will for sure follow her career with great interest.”

Carmen has been racing go-karts when she was a young girl, being the daughter of a former racing driver Jose Miguel Jorda, this only seemed natural. She became third in the Valencian Community’s Championship at age 12, one year later she achieved 7th place in the Spanish National Championship. Later she moved to the UK and raced in the European Formula 3™ Open series and finished 4th in her second year with three podium finishes. 2010 she started racing in the US-based Indy Lights Championship, followed by three years in the F1™ feeder series GP3.

With great enthusiasm Carmen explained about F1™ Boss Bernie Ecclestone’s idea of all-Girls F1™ Racing Series which has been already picked up by some of the world’s top sports media. “In Tennis, and skiing, men don’t compete against women, the women’s football world cup was a huge success with great worldwide media coverage, a women’s racing series seems only logical,” Carmen told us.

Previously Ex F1™ champion Gerhard Berger had previously said: “The women’s F1™ series is a great idea, I am always in favour to support women.”

“We just need enough youngsters to grow into it”

Well, we are certainly looking forward to hear more about this and of course more news from and about the impressive Carmen Jorda.
