Only for two days: Oktoberfest-Special – Free sampling
Whilst we at The World of Neuschwansteiner are globetrotters and truly feel at home all over the world, our home state Bavaria and our centuries of traditions are always in our hearts. It is therefore of no surprise, that during these famous Oktoberfest weeks, we continue our quest to be “talk of the town” in Munich.
Over 1 million litres of beer were consumed already during the first weekend of the famous Oktoberfest! Munich clearly is the beer capital of the world these days – you could almost call the “Wiesn-Weeks” an extra season in the Bavarian capital. With a dry and partially sunny weather forecast, Munich is ready for the second Oktoberfest weekend.
At Feinkost Käfer these weeks, everyone is busy. Traditionally since 1971 the “Käfer Wies’n-Schänke” with 1,100 inside seats and 1,950 seats in the outdoors has been an established tradition at Munich’s historic Oktoberfest. The “Wies’n-Schänke” is particularly well known for its high-quality products (like Käfer-duck and saddle of venison. Michael Käfer is known as Oktoberfest “celebrity host”. Unlike other tents, he stays open until 0.30h, and traditionally invites celebrities from media, spots, business and showbiz, like Tennis-Ace Sabine Lisicki, former racing driver Christian Abt, Football-stars Jens Lehmann and Michael Ballack, Ski jumping legend Sven Hannawald and many more. Minzi, Princess zu Hohenlohe, Verona Pooth and Christine Neubauer showed a new trend for the ladies this year: Lederhosen instead of Dirndl.
A passion for quality is motto and the key to the success of the Feinkost Käfer company. What started out as a Munich-based family business has grown into an international enterprise with over 900 employees. The idea of finding first-rate and innovative products from all corners of the world and presenting them to connoisseurs and gourmets is a principle that Käfer has been consistently pursuing since its very beginnings in 1930.
The Käfer delicatessen store makes any gourmands hearts skip a beat: Shopping at Käfer is a true experience of the senses. On 1400 square metres, fans of fine food can experience a delicious journey of discovery. Each department has its own area. With more than 300 varieties of cheese, 800 selected wines and liquors, over 20 precious oils and a sensational patisserie, Käfer offers an outstanding shopping eye opener for your taste-buds! The delicatessen store is situated in a distinctive historic town house in Munich’s Prinzregentenstraße 37 and stands for the very highest degree of top-quality food products in a fabulous shopping environment.
The famous Käfer Party Service has won several awards such as: “Caterer of the Year” and “Leaders of the Year Award“.
Käfer has been our partner since our early days. We are very proud to announce, that to celebrate our friendship with Feinkost Käfer, as an Oktoberfest special during opening hours Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September 2015, Neuschwansteiner offers free sampling in the Delicatessen store at their ‘Stammhaus’ (principal company building) in Prinzregentenstraße at a special promotion stand. A visit to this incredible store currently is even more than ever worth a trip since the entire building has been lovingly decorated in Bavarian Oktoberfest style.
We send a big thank you to Feinkost Käfer for placing us so nicely during Oktoberfest time and invite you to come by if you are in Munich.
Of course we have several friendly connections with Käfer, for example in the famous BMW Welt where Neuschwansteiner is served. in Bobby Bräuers Restaurants „Bavaria“ and „EssZimmer“.
