Our special Good-Luck-wishes this time go to the Italian Toro Rosso team, who hosted us very nicely at the Budapest Grand Prix ™. Team boss Franz Tost himself showed us the garage and even explained the precious steering wheel! A true racer and very nice gentleman!

Franz Tost with Christian SeitzOur CEO and founder, Christian Seitz, was impressed by not only the complexity of a F1™ steering, wheel which he had seen and held for the very first time, but also by the immaculate look of the garage, even with mechanics busily working on the cars. He said:

“Thank you very much to Franz Tost and Scuderia Toro Rosso to give us such an inside behind-the scenes-look.”

For sure I will be watching the Belgian GP differently now, after having experienced the work of F1™ teams in the garage first hand. The amount of functions and buttons on the steering wheel alone is impressive!”

Neuschwansteiner CEO Christian Seitz with Carlos SainzLooking ahead at this weekend, F1™ will race 44 laps on the 7.004-km-race track which hosted it’s first race in 1950! Spa-Francorchamps is located in the Ardennes region of Belgium, the weather always provides a big challenge as it can often change mid race or even mid-lap, and rain is expected over the weekend. This can have a dramatic effect on the race causing more pit stops and tyre changes, so strategy and speed of reaction is key.

toro-rossoToro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz is excited: “The good memories will definitely give us a lot of energy and I will try and perform at the same level as I did there last year. There’s no doubt it’s my favourite track together with Silverstone, I really, really like it for so many reasons, it’s difficult to pick just one!”

It is almost a home Grand prix ™ for his team mate, Max Verstappen: “Because it’s such an amazing track to drive, it’s unique! It has some very challenging and fun corners, like Eau Rouge, and the home crowd just make it even more special. I am really looking forward to the weekend ahead.”
