Finally we had plenty of snow in our beloved German Alps and the impressive mountains around Neuschwanstein Castle are white. We have been waiting for the perfect moment since the official beginning of winter, and today we happily present you our 2016 Neuschwanstein Castle winter photo by Timo Steiger. We hope you like it as much as we do!

Thank you very much, Timo – nice one!

After last week’s minus 20° and below, temperatures in the alpine snow currently are just great for our beer, as about 8°C are the perfect temperature to enjoy our Neuschwansteiner. Try it out and cool the glasses in the crisp fresh snow as well. Cheers!

It goes without saying that we still simply love H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria’s Neuschwanstein Castle 2015 photo-donation for ZOOM charity! The romantic winter view of the serene castle just leads to dreams of the old stories about Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty or Snow-white, perfect for cold winter evenings at home. So, here it is again, one more time.

But of course time goes on and soon we might be even looking for YOUR favourite castle photo. Stay tuned for future information!

If you have never been in our part of the world, check this out: Lonely Planet, one of the internationally most popular travel guides confirmed: Bavaria is one of the world’s top 10 regions in their book “Best in Travel 2016”.

The Bavaria chapter reads as follows: “From the cloud-shredding Alps to the fertile Danube plain, Bavaria is a place that keeps its clichéd promises, yet offers much more than the chocolate-box idyll. There’s an untranslatable feel-good air that makes exploring the region an easy-going experience.” The guide book lists as a “must-go”: indulge your romantic fantasies at fairy-tale Schloss Neuschwanstein
