Just about seven months after their re-organization, our partner, ice-hockey club EV Füssen has already confirmed the new form by advancing ahead of time to the next higher league, the “Landesliga”.

ice-hockey-club-ev-fuessen-good-old-days-history-neuschwansteinerFounded in December 1922 as “Eissportverein Füssen”, between the 1940ies and 70ies the club was one of Germany’s most dominating teams. Winning 16 German championships made them the second most successful club in Germany.

Zellhuber is absolutely happy with his team and said. “It was always our target to advance. After the preliminary round we had already won 20 games out of 20! We knew this was a qualification round for the play-offs.

ice-hockey-club-ev-fuessen-energy-neuschwansteinerNow we have paved the way in our first two games by winning them and are set to advance already ahead of time.

Our comeback is in full swing – something that has only been possible with the help of our partners and sponsors, like Neuschwansteiner.

We hereby would like to express our appreciation for the great support and are very happy to know that we have strong partners at our side.

ice-hockey-club-ev-fuessen-team-neuschwansteinerOf course we didn’t have too much time for big celebrations as our target is the championship title, but we made sure to toast to success and confirmation to advance with the entire team with some nice chilled Neuschwansteiner.

Now we are fully focussed on the upcoming weekend, as we have the chance to win the regional league championship title. The victory would be a fabulous success! We are quoted as favourites and feel quite comfortable in this prominent position.

The great team-spirit as well as the fact that we are a young team with a healthy mix of youth and experience, technical strength and great running qualities are our advantages as well as our winning formula.
