Does a beer called Neuschwansteiner need to be blue or have an Edelweiss inside?

In April and May we gave some insights to the “Making of” of the Doppio TV feature about Neuschwansteiner. Now the feature has been produced and broadcast and we very much enjoyed watching it.
Under the headline “A traditional beer that has been newly interpreted and alludes to a royal history: ‘Neuschwansteiner’ captivates not least by its packaging, in form of a champagne bottle with golden emblem”, Doppio has elegantly managed to produce a film that we are very proud of to be featured in.
We love how our stylish Neuschwansteiner bottle turned into a movie-star!
The feature has been filmed in Munich and Schwangau, at two world-renowned visitor magnets, probably the two biggest in entire Bavaria. Neuschwanstein castle attracts approximately 2 million visitors per year, the BMW Welt over 3 million!

In Munich’s famous BMW Welt, our friend and partner, 2-star MICHELIN chef Bobby Bräuer was so nice to host us at his famous 2-star MICHELIN restaurant “Esszimmer” in the “skies” of the BMW Welt with some fabulous creations matching the taste of our Neuschwansteiner and letting us and Doppio TV peek into his secret haven, the kitchen.
“Neuschwansteiner is a full-bodied beer”, Bobby Bräuer states, “it is malty and it is ideal as an aperitif, as well as a lovely accompaniment to a variety of dishes.”
Our royal Brand ambassador, H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria, our CEO and founder, Christian Seitz and Bobby Bräuer gave some interesting insights about our beer, high-end gourmet food and how they fit so perfectly together.

“Filming with Doppio TV was a fun and interesting experience. Their questions made me reflect again on what drives us: Beer is an honest product!
To deliver our unique, fabulous taste, for us it is of utmost importance to use the purest and best possible ingredients for our beer: barley, hops and water,” Neuschwansteiner CEO and founder Christian Seitz said with a proud smile and hailed Bobby Bräuers cuisine: “The location, the atmosphere and of course the exquisite creations of Bobby Bräuer make a visit to his “Esszimmer” a culinary highlight one will never forget.”
H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria explained: “We are aiming at a totally different level, the one of sommeliers, away from the usual beer bottle, and instead being served in a champagne glass. If you see it, you wouldn’t expect a beer inside, one would of course say: ‘It must be champagne’!”

From Munich we moved on to Schwangau and the brewery. Here, our Neuschwansteiner Edelmärzen is brewed in the immediate vicinity of Neuschwanstein Castle by our brew master Andy Helmer: „We work very traditional, making craft-brewed beer based on old recipes but with up-to-date technology in the background and of course high quality products. We of course pay great attention to high quality and authenticity of our beer.”
Andy Helmer allowed Editor Helena Sauer and her crew to experience, watch, taste and smell some of the key steps of our brewing process, we even took them to the source of our crystal clear alpine water, illustrating: “We are the foot of the Alps, having natural mountain spring water which comes from 1500-1700 metres, it is extremely clear so we don’t need to treat it. It is very soft water which is very good for our brewing process!”
Helena Sauer, Doppio Tv’s editor stated happily: „Many thanks to Neuschwansteiner for the fantastic filming with H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria and Christian Seitz, as well as the beautiful insights to the very elegant restaurant “Esszimmer”. The filming has been proof for us, what fabulous products are created if naturalness and originality of ingredients and the environment are valued and respected!”
We hope you like the Doppio TV Film as much as we do and look forward to soon see our Neuschwansteiner bottle again as a movie star!
