During the final Formula One™ race week of the 2015 season, Neuschwansteiner joined forces with the Shangri-La hotel, Qaryat Al Beri to support Make-A-Wish Foundation® UAE.
At a fabulous event, Neuschwansteiner ambassador H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria was guest of honour and on stage to present the “best dress trophy” whilst Neuschwansteiner was the official welcome drink and beer at the fashion show’s after party at famous restaurant “Pearls and Caviar by Sergi Arola”.
MICHELIN 2-star-chef Sergi was impressed by our Neuschwansteiner and the guests, including Games of Thornes-star Liam Cunningham and other international celebrities seemed to love it.
It was a night of high fashion and serious glamour at the 2nd edition of Fashion Fever Grand Prix™ – an F1™ themed fashion show that was presented by Emirates Motor Company and was held at Shangri-La hotel, Qaryat Al Beri.
The event saw Abu Dhabi’s crème de la crème in attendance including a few members of the royal family, prominent fashion buyers, designers, sports enthusiasts, F1™ personalities, ambassadors, business leaders and fashion media.
It showcased collections designed exclusively for the event by four of the region’s most promising designers.
The designers were ShoSho Bella, LA Rags, Julea Domani by Zeena Zaki and Trio Couture. Designer ShoSho Bella showcased an haute couture collection for girls aged between 2 – 14 while LA Rags heeded to the street wear, with the trendy causal look perfect for the concerts. Both Julea Domani by Zeena Zaki and Trio Couture revealed the glamorous side of F1™ related fashion dressing in their characteristic and individualistic style. In collaboration with Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, world-famous Formula One™ photographer Mark Sutton and the world’s foremost racing drivers, Make-A-Wish® Foundation UAE put personally autographed photographs and unique racing memorabilia on silent auction at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge.
Visitors were invited to either donate or bid on their favourite racing collectibles to support this Make-A-Wish® Foundation UAE fundraising initiative to help young children make their personal aspirations come true.
Make-A-Wish® Foundation UAE tirelessly makes the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions come true. “An ongoing commitment of Shangri-La, Abu Dhabi is to support the local community and our partnership with Make-A-Wish® Foundation UAE is at the forefront of our fundraising activities over the busy racing weekend. We aim to raise unprecedented funds in the week leading up to and during this global event,” General Manager Thomas Guss said.
Make A Wish® Foundation UAE’s Chief Executive Officer Hani Alzubaidi said, “We are thrilled with the response, both locally and globally, to drive this initiative in support of our ongoing fundraising initiatives and look forward to making many more kids’ wishes come true.”

Fashion Fever is a copyrighted concept developed by Kawthar Bin Sulayem and produced by KBS Communications. It is the first ever red carpet fashion show in the UAE that is aptly timed and themed around major sporting, lifestyle and art events in the region and around the globe. The inaugural Fashion Fever event took place in November 2014 during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix™ weekend.
The 2nd edition of Fashion Fever is also build around the theme of ‘Fashion during F1™’ and will highlight the fashion scene in Abu Dhabi during F1™. The attendance is by invitation only and comprises a guest list with over 300 attendees from the world of fashion, sports and business. Fashion Fever will be produced four times a year for and during various sports, arts and lifestyle events throughout the globe. The event is held in partnership with several premium brands and sponsors.
