As we are looking forward to new events with our friend and brand Ambassador H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria, of course we also keep an eye on the latest cool gigs of his son, H.R.H. Prince Konstantin of Bavaria, “DJ Koko Bayern” (see our post Nov 4th 2015).
Last weekend he performed with “Melt Music” residents Maura & Pako S. at London’s Basing House who described him as:
“Koko Bayern, a London-based dj originally from Bavaria, he is one of the residents for the renowned Unleash parties, where he has played alongside countless heavyweight artists.”
His next gig will take him far away, south-west around the globe to Brazil, where he plays February 6th at “D-Edge” in Sao Paulo, rated as one of the best clubs in the world! He then travels south on February 7th to play at Warung Beach Club at Itajaí, approximately 1 hour north of Florianopolis. Luciano, Bella Sarris & Kolombo and Koko Bayern are the “Carnival” line-up at this club, ssurrounded by virgin Atlantic Forest and guided by concern for the environment.
H.R.H. Prince Konstantin of Bavaria said: “I hope many of you started into the New Year cheering with a nice chilled Neuschwansteiner.
I have been relaxing with my family but also preparing for some new upcoming cool gigs and events. “Melt Music” in London was fabulous and I am already very much looking forward to play at Warung Beach Club in Brazil.
It has a fantastic atmosphere. Of course the carnival month in the home of carnival, Brazil, is one of the most amazing experiences and times. More exciting gigs will follow, we will keep you posted.
As always, especially when I travel abroad, I have my Bavarian home in my heart, including the beautiful castle of my ancestors, Neuschwanstein, perfectly represented by Neuschwansteiner beer.”
Bio-Info by www.residentadvisor.net:
Konstantin is a London based DJ with his roots and heart in Bavaria.
Konstantin was born outside of Munich in Bavaria, but moved to the UK when he was 17. The first electronic music track he heard was Christian Burkhardt, which inspired him to explore the world of techno.
After moving to London, he decided to study media and communication and started to write on the history of electronic music. During university he was most drawn to Detroit techno and Chicago House even writing his dissertation on the evolution from Kraftwerk to Richie Hawtin. At first just djing as a hobby, Konstantin began to play at private events and among friends. After he explored the world of electronic music academically, he decided to study the actual tools of techno at Point Blank in London.
He picked up a residency at Funkyzeit, Unleash and Boneca in London, allowing him to play alongside heavyweights such as Recondite, Dj W!ld, Solomun, Cesar Merveille, Barem, Alexis Cabrera, Pako S, Luke Hess, Dirty Doering, Red Robin, Mira, Maayan Nidam, Konrad Black, Daylomar and Losoul. Konstantin now also plays at London’s Boneca. His music is always deep, but with some necessary groove.
