An incredible 1.3 million guests visit our beautiful Neuschwanstein castle every year!
The serene and magical castle draws visitors from all around the world, many of them rom far away. We are just approaching the high season; August is the busiest month with sometimes over 8000 visitors on a single day. The guided tours (up to 130 per day) start in the early morning hours and can sometimes go on until the evening. The well-educated guides ensure that visitors always get the in-depth tour and learn as much as possible about the castle, its history and of course famous King Ludwig II and his fabulous collection of art and culture.
Did you know: The castle actually was already in its time not only built to impress by its beauty but also was equipped with very modern technologies like: Running water on all floors, hot-air central heating an electric call system, elevators and even telephone connections.
Style and high standards for everything were important for the legendary “fairy-tale-king”, and so it is no surprise that at the end of the tour through the castle you will enter the very stylish and nice shop of KulturGut AG, that gives the impression to be more like another part of the museum rather than a store.

Here, every visitor can enjoy the modern concept of high-end souvenir offers – with the feeling of being more in a top class fashion store than an ordinary souvenir store.
Neuschwansteiner CEO Christian Seitz explains proudly:
“We feel honoured to be featured in this wonderful store, at the very roots of our beer, at castle Neuschwanstein.”
He continues: “Designed with style and class, KulturGut AG manages to impress with a high-end style that matches not only the elegance of the serene castle, but also gives our Bavarian luxury beer a fabulous presentation to visitors from all around the globe.”“We feel the legacy of King Ludwig II justified and are proud to be so close to his spirit and incredible creations.”
Harald Brunnhuber chairman of the board of KulturGut AG said:
“The KulturGut is always looking for the uniqueness with a region-specific connection. It is our philosophy to give our international clientele an understanding of our home in a high-quality way.
“Neuschwansteiner is of such quality: A special drink with ingredients and know-how from our region, elegantly arranged in a great design.”
Mr. Brunnhuber continues: “Our visitors accept it very well. The appealing packaging creates a craving for more and Neuschwansteiner therefore is very popular as a gift.

As exclusive partner of the Bavarian administration for public castles, gardens and lakes, in our official shop we display the unique theme worlds of the castles with individual products. The store directly follows the guided tours and gives our visitors the chance to bring home a piece of Bavaria.”
