We were pleasantly surprised when we spotted our Neuschwansteiner in our special dedicated glass on the cover of ‘Munich Quality’, a magazine about “The Best in Munich”.
The issue was subtitled “the kitchen spy” and featured ‘EssZimmer’, the 2 MICHELIN-star restaurant of our friend and partner Bobby Bräuer. Over four pages with fabulous food pictures, the article subtitled “just like at home at good friends”, presents the ‘EssZimmer’ very well.
We recently visited Bobby Bräuer during the production of Doppio TV’s editorial feature about Neuschwansteiner, when he expressed how much he likes our beer: “Neuschwansteiner is expressive, it is malty and powerful, a fruity complex beer which has various uses in a sophisticated kitchen. Being a full-bodied beer, it is ideal as an aperitif, as well as a lovely accompaniment to a variety of dishes.”
The ‘Munich Quality’ article highlights the architecture of Bräuer’s incredibly stylish restaurant in the ‘sky’ of Munich’s famous BMW Welt, including every elaborate details from furniture to decoration.
It even describes the beautiful sculptures of Nymphenburger china that our Royal Brand Ambassador H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria loves so much as they are of course part of his heritage. We can tell you, he is especially fond of the large parrot next to the bar!

Reading the well-written and mouth-watering gourmet report makes you just want to be right at EssZimmer and enjoy Bobby Bräuers creations. He just perfects the mix of sour, sweet and spicy whilst cooking healthy and lean.

Reporter Lucia Hornstein summarized: “Every dish offered at least a triad of aroma. It was a challenge to distinguish undertones and to realise how well-balanced familiar and rare flavours harmonise in bobby Bräuers creations.”
Well said – we couldn’t agree more, and suggest trying a chilled Neuschwansteiner with some of Bräuers fabulous dishes. A visit to the ‘EssZimmer’ is an absolute culinary delight and we can highly recommend it.
‘Munich Quality’ is published four times a year and specialised in featuring selected locations and exclusive insider tips. The main categories are: shopping, dining and drinks, discovery, living and well-being, recommendations and news.
Btw.: In addition to his 2 MICHELIN stars, Bräuers ‘EssZimmer’ was also awarded with 18 Gault Millau points and 89 (of 100) points in the national ‘Hornstein ranking’ which rates him 17th in Germany overall! 2015 Bräuer was elected ‘chef of the year’ in the ‘Big guide’ of Bertelsmann.
