Congratulations to our friend, award-winning international artist Albrecht Behmel to yet another fabulous exhibition combined with a charity project!
At Neuschwansteiner we are in love with beautiful things, and nothing is more beautiful than helping others. So, when Albrecht invited us over for a little trip to Manila in the Philippines to do some good, we simply couldn’t resist.
Based in Taguig, Manila’s booming Bonifacio district, right at the heart of Global City and the Shangrila-Hotel, Stanley Miao’s Acts of Kindness opened a new platform on Monday April 10. It is an auction house for contemporary art that donates to charity with every sale.
Artists and sellers get to pick a charity and a percentage which they want to give and offer their works to collectors like Robbie Antonio, one of the art world’s biggest names, corporate buyers like Manila’s Alveo Corporate Center or simply private art lovers like Donnalynn Patakos and movie star Antonio Lujak (Star Wars, Robin Hood) out of Miami and LA who have been supporting Acts of Kindness since its start-up phase.
On opening night the WWF, represented by Asia’s Got Talent judge Rovilson Fernandez and the Red Cross saw amazing support by local and international artists. JM Rodriguez, the charismatic founder and CEO of Valkyrie Nightclubs led charmingly through the evening and the auction. We are proud to say that a six figure sum was raised to support good causes all over the world – and that is just the beginning. Doing good never felt so good.
Christian Seitz, Neuschwansteiner founder and CEO said: “We welcome and support Albrecht’s art and his dedication to help others and do good.”
Albrecht Behmel, born 1971, is an award-winning writer and painter. His paintings are on display at the University of Beijing, the Brandenburg Parliament in Potsdam, the Empire State Building, Guggenheim Partners, Miami and others.
Watch this space as we will have more exciting news about Albrecht and his world-wide art exhibitions soon!
