We are happy that so many of you liked our ‘Neuschwansteiner in New York – Part1’ – that today we proudly present: ‘Part 2’!

As we continue to explore the ‘new world’, be assured, there are more fabulous Neuschwansteiner locations to come soon!

Let’s start with The Greenwich Meantime Tavern (GMT), a British styled tavern, established in 2011 in the heart of Greenwich Village, on the corner of the hustle and bustle of Bleecker St & LaGuardia Place in New York City.

Greenwich Meantime Tavern

It has truly become the local’s favourite, with an impressive selection of 36 draught beers poured through their state of the art beer system. GMT’s menu is casual American with some traditional British fare, from Scotch eggs, fish & chips & the ploughman’s lunch to their special blend of Kobe beef for the Meantime burger.

Lunch and dinner are served every day; brunch on Sundays includes the traditional British Sunday Roast with all the trimmings & Yorkshire puddings. GMT’S guests are diverse, from the beer connoisseur, the conversationalist sitting around the communal tables discussing which wine or beer they should choose and from which part of the world, colleagues meeting after work, to Sundays and families enjoying brunch sitting in the sidewalk cafe watching the world go by.

Find Neuschwansteiner on the Upper Eastside: We highly recommend La Pulperia, a restaurant featuring rustic Latin cuisine from Chef/Owner Carlos Barroz and Victor Medina.

La Pulperia

Named after the general stores found throughout South America, La Pulperia offers Barroz’s simple yet refined cuisine from the countries of Latin America with European influences from places like Italy and Spain. La Pulperia, designed by Andres Gomez (Red Rooster, Whitehall, SoCo) mirrors the authentic pulperias of South America, with handcrafted floor tiles from Mexico, reclaimed wood from Brazil on the ceiling and walls, and abundant shelving displaying top shelf liquor, fresh produce, wine and now our beautiful Neuschwansteiner bottles.

Last but not least of today’s Neuschwansteiner NYC guide, we proudly present: Barbounia, recently featured in the Wall Street Journal!

This Zagat and MICHELIN rated fabulous restaurant is an oasis of modern Mediterranean cuisine, influenced by the food and cultures of Greece, Southern France, Morocco and Southern Italy combined with a beautiful chic ambiance and a welcoming staff.

Located in the heart of Gramercy in New York City at 20th Street and Park Avenue South, Barbounia’s atmosphere and design, which complement and attract a fashion, music and entertainment clientele, takes you off the busy streets of Manhattan and transcends you to the middle of the Mediterranean.

With a spectacular open kitchen, tall arched ceilings divided by Moorish columns, large wooden communal tables, and pillowed banquettes; you feel the magnificent energy emanating from the kitchen, staff and patrons. Under the direction of Partners Alon Jibli and David Sasson, the restaurant is said to “move into Manhattan’s top tier of Mediterranean’s” as stated eloquently by Bob Lape of Crain’s.

MICHELIN Restaurant states: “Barbounia brings the pleasures of the Mediterranean to a primo locale. The welcome is warm, the ceilings are notably high, and the floor-to-ceiling bar is considerably stocked. The rustic, satiating fare is ideal for sharing.” May we add: “A wonderful place to spend a special evening toasting with a fresh chilled Neuschwansteiner.
