From 14 to 18 September, the third edition of the prestigious Gourmet festival will provide even more ‘culinary heaven on earth’ for gourmet fans than the previous ones since due to its great success, the gourmet festival has been extended by one day, offering five days of international masters and the very highest level of culinary indulgence.

The Dolders’ very own 2-Star-MICHELIN chef Heiko Nieder, Chef de Cuisine, THE RESTAURANT, is the driving force behind the festival which features exceptional culinary delights and brings together internationally renowned top chefs all of whom have made a name for themselves through their innovation and pioneering creativity. Nieder once again managed to bring some of the world’s best chefs to Zürich:

‘The Evenings’: On four evenings, Heiko Nieder creates an exclusive 8-course menu together with each of the following 3-star MICHELIN chefs, Harald Wohlfahrt (Germany), Curtis Duffy (USA), Andreas Caminada (Switzerland) and Pascal Barbot (France).
Harald Wohlfahrt
Perfectionist Wohlfahrt is safely said one of the most famous chefs in Germany and has maintained three Michelin star for 23 years. His Restaurant Schwarzwaldstube at Hotel Traube Tonbach is located in Baiersbronn-Tonbach, Germany.
Pascale Barbot
Cosmopolitan Pascal Barbot’s virtuos cooking skills brought him his third Michelin star in 2007. L’Astrance, Paris, France
Nieder himself has held the position of Chef Fine Dining at the Dolder Grand’s The Restaurant since the opening. In 2003, Nieder’s creative cuisine won him the GaultMillau title of ‚Discovery of the Year‚. In 2012, he was also „Most Improved Chef of the Year„.

The festival events are named ‘The Evenings’, ‘The Masterclasses’ and ‘The Final’ and provide culinary pleasure on all levels. ‘The Masterclasses’ are tastings led by experts to indulge in exclusive products like Caviar, Cigars, Whisky, Cognac and Cocktails.

Chocolate lovers will cherish the masterclass by ‘Monsieur Chocolat’, Frédéric Bau (Valrhona Tain L’Hermitage, France), and founder of ‘L’ecole di Granc Chocolat Valrhona’.
Diageo World Class Champion 2010, Eric Lorincz from London, will create award winning Cocktails at the Dolder Grand Bar. Wine lovers can learn from Luis Gutiérrez, Robert Parker wine advocate from Spain.
