For the 3rd consecutive year, Neuschwansteiner supports the prestigious ZOOM Charity. The glamorous charity auction at London’s Intercontinental hotel February 3 raised valuable funds for the children-dedicated Starlight Charity and saw Formula One’s ™ stars meet with greats from music and film for the good cause.

Former FIA president Max Mosley, Renault F1™ driver Jolyon Palmer and his dad, race track owner and former F1™ driver Jonathan, music stars such as Heather Small (M-People) and Scott Gorham (Black Star Riders, formerly Thin Lizzy), Anthony Hamilton and David Richards (World Rally) were only a few of the guest to be named.

Especially those who had been to the event in previous years and loved our original Neuschwansteiner 0.75l bottle were impressed by our new Neuschwansteiner 0.33l. “This is elegant and stylish, finally a noble bottle one can drink beer from even at the most glamorous event”, said several guests. The hosts at the ballroom’s entrance continuously had to refill their welcome trays, our large stylish ice bowl at the bar turned out to be almost as popular as the auction and exhibition items.

Every year, ZOOM organizes a photographic auction of very unique signed photographs taken by all Formula 1 ™ drivers, team principals and its affiliates, revealing how F1’s superstars enjoy themselves away from it. A perfect example is Lewis Hamilton’s photo of the sun setting over the paradise islands of Turks and Caicos.

ZOOM is the only auction of signed photos taken by the stars of any sport. The photos are like personal postcards from the sport’s biggest names and they come from all over the globe.

Some of the biggest selling photographs in the auction were those by F1™ world Champions Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Fernando Alonso (McLaren Honda).

Watch this space as later this week we will have some more event information for you as well as the pictures of the winning bids with the F1™ driver’s information.

Starlight is national charity that provides entertainment in hospitals and hospices across the UK and grants wishes-of-a-lifetime for seriously and terminally ill children, restoring the magic and fun of childhood and giving the whole family happy memories to share, whatever the future holds.
