Happy Birthday Nico Rosberg
First of all we d’ like to wish Nico Rosberg a very Happy Birthday! Hopefully he can enjoy a lovely day off!
We saw him last weekend chatting with Hollywood star Keanu Reeves and drift hero Ken Block at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where our royal friend and brand Ambassador, H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria enjoyed one of his favourite events in his busy racing calendar.
Annually traditionally, at Goodwood, the elite of motorsport history and present comes together with celebrities, high-flying car collectors and enthusiats. H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria of course has several times confirmed to us, how much he really loves the historic race cars, and how much he enjoys this gathering of motorsport’s greatest at Lord Marchs Festival of Speed.
Check out this cool picture, Rosberg posted on his Twitter.
H.R.H. Prince Leopold of Bavaria said with a huge smile on his face, clearly enjoying the weekend: “For me the Festival of Speed with cars like the M1, M6, 635 and other famous BMW’s is a very special event.
Today I can drive just for fun. But that doesn’t mean I am going slow!
When I drive the BMW race taxi for example, I am of course responsible for my passengers.
They want to enjoy the buzz and thrill of going fast and close to the walls, but also feel safe.
The sound for example of the 635 is just incredible- everyone turns their heads! Back in the days, we had to find and set our own braking points, and gear ratios etc..
Now all technologies play into that as well. Now for me, the burden of pressure is gone and has given the way for pure racing fun.
I am very proud being brand ambassador for BMW and to be able to drive their famous and fabulous historical classic race cars! I am grateful that I am still able to do this at my age!”
